Like previous year, the ” Combined/Reality ” section will be there, which includes ‘ Photo Travel’, ‘Nature’, and ‘Photojournalism ’ categories besides the existing ‘ Open Colour ’ and ‘ Open Monochrome ’ sections. We hope this will provide ample opportunities for our members to showcase their invaluable work.
To participate, each member is requested to submit a maximum of 10 works that may combine Colour, Monochrome and REALITY sections. For example, a member may submit all 10 monochrome works or all 10 colour works or all 10 Combined works , or any combination that totals a maximum of 10 works .
A minimum of 2 works per member will be guaranteed if the member submits a minimum of 6 photos in one or all sections combined.
All submitted images must not contain any tags, signatures, initials, or other references and/or marks added by the participant. Also, any advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions, and/or manipulations, including compositing and creative retouching of the Photos, is prohibited in the Combined Section. Techniques that add, relocate, replace, remove, or change any element in the original scene, except by cropping, are not permitted. The only allowable modifications are the removal of dust, scratches, or digital noise and restoration of the appearance of the existing scene or complete conversion to full monochrome. Please note that we do not accept AI-generated images in any of the sections. Kindly avoid submitting such images.
The dimensions of the photos should be a minimum of 4500 pixels on the longer side, 300dpi, SRGB, a compression ratio: of 9-12, and a maximum size 10 MB. Also, the title of the photos should not exceed 30 characters, and please ensure that all components of the submitted photos are entirely your work. In case of any doubt, RAW files of the uploaded photo may be called for verification.
The catalogue from the past three years is available on our website. Please review it to avoid submitting previously submitted accepted works, as these will be rejected without notifying the authors. Also, an image entered in one section cannot be entered in another section.
Accepted entries will also be displayed on our Club website after the exhibition, and the Club will have the right to use these entries for training/seminars/promotional/publicity purposes as deemed fit for the interest of the Club. The original copyright will remain with the respective authors.
The deadline for submission of entries is 6th July 2024. Late entries will not be accepted under any circumstances. Members are advised to submit their entries well in advance to avoid any last-minute technical glitches.
Entries should be submitted through this upload link. Members are requested to carefully follow the instructions and guidelines provided while uploading their entries.
In case of any queries or concerns regarding the exhibition, members are requested to contact the exhibition committee via email or phone call.
The author may select any ONE of the submitted images for exhibition based on personal preference . In this case, the author must add “PR” as a prefix to the file name. For example, if the title of the image is “Dawn,” the file name should be “PR_Dawn.jpg” upon submission. This selection is subject to the final approval of the Salon Committee.
We look forward to receiving your entries and wish you all the best for the exhibition.
Attention Please
As per the wishes of the members, a new provision has been included for this year’s Members’ Exhibition, by which a member, if he/ she wants (not compulsory), may mark one of his works as ‘Preferred’, so that the same may be considered for inclusion in the exhibition list, in lieu of another selected work (with lowest score awarded by the judges) of the member.
However, to maintain the quality of the exhibition the salon committee has the final say to approve such replacement.
I draw your attention on below sentences in the Rules circulated in this regard.
“The author may select any ONE of the submitted images for exhibition based on personal preference . In this case, the author must add “PR” as a prefix to the file name. For example, if the title of the image is “Dawn,” the file name should be “PR_Dawn.jpg” upon submission. This selection is subject to the final approval of the Salon Committee.”
To clear the doubts about the PR rule, it is clarified hereinafter-
If the PR image is selected in normal judging then there will be no change in accepted list of the author but if it is not selected then the lowest scoring image of the acceptance set should be replaced with the PR image.
However, to maintain the quality of the exhibition the salon committee has the final say to approve such replacement.
